How it is changing the Earth

There are a lot of things that it is doing to the Earth. First, look around you. I don't know about you, but where I live, the weather is acting stranger than usual. I mean, the temperature is starting to rise. There is less snow. There are hot winds. This is all happening in winter. Can you believe it? But now, let's look at the obvious reasons. First, the polar ice caps. I am sure you have heard the temperature at the North Pole, South Pole, and the Arctic areas (eg- Antarctica) are rising. By a lot. I will tell you the numbers later, but think about this: the ice packs, which have been solid for more that a million years is finally staring to melt. Now, another thing. Because the ice packs are melting, I am sure you can guess the consequences. Now, all that extra water is filling up the seas and oceans. Because of that, we will lose land. A lot of land. All the cities around the harbour like Boston will go underwater. And that should take maybe... 50-100 years. But that is only if we don't do anything to stop or help prevent global warming. The earth's temperature has risen by half a degree. Not so much right? Wrong! Actually, because of that, the ice packs are melting. Fact: if the Earth's temperature rises by 2 degrees, do you know all the bees are most likely to die? And without bees, we would die within 60 years. Do you know why? Because bees pollinate. With pollination, more plants grow, and they help with agriculture (food), and plants help with manufacturing fresh air. (For those of you who don't know what pollination is, it is just the process in which bees spread seeds. Bees sit on plants and suck out the nectar. When it get's up, some of the plant's seeds sticks on the skin of the bee, and so when they fly of, the seeds spread all over the place, and then when it rains, the seeds grow to become plants)
See, everything is a cycle. And because we are not maintaining the balance of the cycle, horrible things to us and the Earth are going to start occurring. What I am trying to say is, is that we are the problem. No other creature on the planet is to blame. Human beings, because of out superior intelligence, are ruining the Earth.

What it is:

Global Warming is actually the Earth's temperature rising. It is caused by pollution. Pollution consists of smoke, carbon dioxide (air that we breathe out), and carbon monoxide. The more pollution is caused, the more global warming gets. Now this is the real problem. Plants convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. Now, because humans need more space to build houses, we cut down forests (which has plants), and we build buildings on it. That causes a huge difference because all the plants, which change all the smoke into fresh air, has been cut down. So more and more smoke is accumulating, and therefore, more and more pollution is caused.

Introduction

Global Warming. 2 words we are taking for granted. We always say we are going to make change, but we do not. We never, EVER make change. That is why I am making this blog. I want to create an awareness on Global Warming, and I want everyone who reads this blog to actually try out something. Make something. Something that will help STOP global warming.
