Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted an update to this blog in a long time. I'm going to make a promise. New post, every week. How does that sound?
Ok, back to the topic, my church, St.Andrew's, has an interesting problem. Everyday after the service ends, the congregation goes to the back of the church for coffee and snacks, which is fine, except for 1 thing. Our church uses Styrofoam cups.
These cups look ok, but mother nature hates them! They are NOT recyclable, and they are definitely NOT bio-degradable, which means it will not break down into the soil for worms and other insects to eat. So basically, it's plastic, in another form. So I, along with some others, have decided to do a little project. Count how many cups the church uses in 1 Sunday, and then multiply them into 4 Sundays (1 month) and then see how many cups we actually use every month and every Sunday. Think of this. If we use glass, we can re-use it how many ever times we want, and we don't have to keep buying new cups every Sunday. So we save money, and the environment. What projects can you do like this to keep this world green?
Will update on more news on this project, bye for now!
Oh, and happy late Thanksgiving to all my American readers out there, hope you are Thankful and happy :)
very nice effort towards this menace.keep it up.
